Brian McMullin – Solicitor & Principal

Admitted to the Roll of Solicitors in Ireland in 1992. He is admitted to England and Wales and is a qualified Mediator. He is also a former Partner of VP McMullin Solicitors where he worked for over 25 years. He is the grandson of the founder of that practice and son of former Partner Eunan T. McMullin.

Brian is our Principal and he is focused on ensuring that his clients particularly business people get the legal advice, guidance, and service they deserve. He is also a successful litigator and advisor to public bodies. Brian is always approachable, is always committed to serving his clients, and has contributed to the development of his profession.

He is a former member of the Regulation of Practice Committee of the Law Society of Ireland. This Committee regulates the financial affairs of Solicitors in Ireland. He was appointed to this Committee by the President of the Law Society in 2008 and remained a member until 2012. In December 2012 he was appointed to the Solicitors Disciplinary Tribunal by the President of the High Court. The Solicitors Disciplinary Tribunal is an independent statutory tribunal that considers complaints of misconduct against Solicitors. He was reappointed for a further 5-year term by the President of the High Court in 2017 and regularly chairs divisions of this Tribunal.

He is also a Member of the Law Society of Ireland working group established to create a new and comprehensive practice management standard for Solicitors in Ireland and was appointed to this position by the President of the Law Society in 2015. As part of this group he has engaged with the National Standards Authority of Ireland and has worked intensively with his colleagues within the group to develop a new standard of excellence for Solicitors in Ireland.
